11vodka - pickle for pink
When discussing “National Vodka Day”, it seemed imperative to step outside the normal brand playbook of “signature cocktail + tasting event = National Vodka Day activation”. No press wants to cover another stupid content series about a great bartender making something that we’ve all had a thousand times.
11VODKA continues to build its own identity apart from 11MIAMI, so embracing the daytime, active lifestyle of Miami was a big inspiration for our new attack on the holiday. In addition, being a female owned brand, 11VODKA makes huge efforts to donate towards breast cancer research and ultimately, a cure. With pickleball on such a furious rise, we decided a charity pro/am was the way to go.
Hosted by Nikki and Michael Simkins, the tournament featured eight teams, each consisting of a pro pickleball player and one amateur player. Top-ranked professional players included Parris Todd, Ryan Sherry, Heather Nobler, Martina Kochli, Joey Farias, Milan Rane, Brandon Hubshman and Taylor Niss. However, it was Heather Nobler and her teammate Mark Groussman who won the tournament, while Pickleball coach to the stars Matt Manesse emceed the event, keeping those in attendance both entertained and informed.
Throughout the day, those at the tournament enjoyed bites from local Miami hotspots, including Bottled Blonde and Bodega Taqueria y Tequila. E11EVEN Vodka even served complimentary cocktails, including its custom drink –pickled pink, made specifically for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Guests even experienced an on-site yacht, courtesy of One Water Yacht Group.
In addition to donating the $60,000 raised at the tournaments, E11EVEN Vodka will be donating 11% of sales of the brand’s special edition pink bottles sold during the month of October.
Other sponsors included E11EVEN Miami, E11EVEN Crypto, Braman Miami, JS Jems showcasing the art of Jonathan Schultz, Brooklyn’s Best, Joola, Zhantra, Morelia Paletas and Cali Water.
